ConsciousCafe Group Leaders held a wonderful retreat in Sussex last weekend to connect with and learn from one another. Leaders came from all over the UK, from our two groups in Switzerland and also from Scotland (a longer journey as it turned out than flying from Geneva or Basel).
We sorely missed our colleague leaders in South Africa, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Burley and Great Yarmouth who were unable to join us. ConsciousCafe is for everyone and we do have some groups led by male leaders but they also couldn’t be with us at this time.
We renewed our in person connections with one another: speaking monthly on Zoom, as we do when we can, just isn’t the same – and we shared our future vision of ConsciousCafe. We are all unpaid volunteers and our time is limited, but each one of us cares very deeply about our groups and the people in them and, above all, about the purpose of ConsciousCafe which is ‘raising consciousness once conversation at a time’. The more self-awareness each one of us has, the more we can reach towards a kinder, more loving and more peaceful future. All human beings want that.
We were incredibly lucky with the beautiful English weather and the sun shone on us all weekend so we were able to spend most of our time lounging (and working) under umbrellas on the patio of the gorgeous English Sussex garden. We talked and laughed and meditated and made thoughtful plans and felt very grateful for this delicious gift of relaxation and connection with such awesome likeminded people during these very changeable times on the planet. Huge thanks to Claridge House, Lingfield, for a truly wonderful Retreat experience.
To find out more abut all our groups and their regular activities and how to connect with the group leader please check out the information here. Many people find out about ConsciousCafe through word-of-mouth so do please share the details of our website with friends, colleagues and family who you think would enjoy what we offer.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
