An Interactive Exploratory Event with Dr Sharon Blackie
Our journey through the second half of life is so often portrayed by the over-culture as the beginning of a time of decline, but if we’re able to embrace the depth of its alchemy, it can usher in a rich and vibrant new phase of life as we transition into a meaningful and authentic elderhood. Our experience beyond the time of menopause is above all a psychospiritual journey, focused on the process that Carl Jung called ‘individuation’ – in which each of us becomes more whole, and fully embodies the unique gift which we bring to this world, at this time.
In this event, we’ll unearth the stories of the little-known but powerful elder women in European myth and folklore, inspiring us to imagine that the second half of life might be the most dynamic of all. Drawing inspiration from mythic figures and archetypes including the Wise Woman, the Creatrix, the Truthteller and the Trickster, we’ll learn how to uncover and embrace our own unique, archetypal Inner Hag – so plotting a liberating new path to reimagine the second half of our lives.
Please note that the ticket price includes a recording of the event.
