Our discussion group in Canterbury is led by Cora Kemball-Cook.
Request to join our Facebook group to keep up to date with meetings, or contact Cora directly at corakc@hotmail.com or on 07711 830275
Meetings are usually held monthly on a Wednesday at Cora’s yoga studio on the outskirts of Canterbury.
Wednesday, June 17 | 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
In the words of the famous Simon and Garfunkel song have you ever needed a Bridge over Troubled water or been one to someone else? I love the words of the song which starts:
When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
“I'm on your side. When times get rough
And friends just can't be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.”
We’ll discuss the ways we can help ourselves and others “when times get rough.” Maggie Smith, a retired Counsellor and author of books on the subject will talk about what has helped people in her own experience. Cora Kemball-Cook has practiced yoga and meditation for nearly 50 years and will share some of the practices that she has found beneficial.
Perhaps you will have experiences to share of what has helped or maybe you’ll find some ideas from our discussion. Everyone is welcome, it’s a warm friendly group and a great way to meet like-minded people.
Venue: The Yoga Studio, Highfield House, Summer Hill, Harbledown, CT2 8NH
