There are so many self help books around but how on earth do you choose one that can really help you? I have often found that the best books have been those recommended by friends or like-minded people. The right book may depend on what we are looking for in life – is it healing or better relationships or a better work life balance? I think there are some books that can literally change your life, but it may be that the timing is right for reading a certain book.
In this session Cora will share some of the books that have been most helpful to her and invite you to come along with your own recommendations of books that have shifted something for you or helped in some way. Come along even if you have never read a self-help book in your life. You never know you might discover something new! Are there times that instead of a book we need some expert counselling instead? Maggie Smith, a retired counsellor, will talk about this aspect and tell us which books that she has recommended to her clients.
Everyone welcome!
