ConsciousCafe Global Online event.
In these past few centuries, humanity has made great strides and great sacrifices in the quest of absolving ourselves of responsibility. Today, it is a commonly held conviction that our thoughts, intentions, and attentions have little to no impact on the world around us. So many of us see ourselves as isolated bits of flotsam adrift in the stream of life, at the whim of where fate or circumstance lead us, and mainstream science has promoted that perspective for many decades.
But the data does not support that conclusion.
Research performed at the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) laboratory, as well as through many other research programs, has consistently demonstrated that our intentions have a real and tangible influence not only on the subjective experiences of our lives, but on the way the physical universe evolves. Of particular importance was the confirmation that such influence of conscious intention is not constrained to a traditional forward-only flow of time.
The implications of this research are profound, and in this session Dr. Jeff Dunne, president of the International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL), will guide us in exploring them through three perspectives: the experiential filter of ‘synchronicity’, the spiritual context of ‘interconnectedness’, and the scientific lens of a concept name Syntropy which describes the role of 'purpose' in the universe.
Please join us for a non-scientific dialogue exploring a scientifically-grounded vision of optimism for how our societies can reach a healthier, more balanced future.

Bio:
Dr. Jeffrey Dunne is President of the International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL, www.icrl.org), an organization established in 1996 to continue the research of the effects of consciousness on physical systems carried out at Princeton University from 1979-2007. In addition to his own explorations into the nature of consciousness through ICRL, and several decades of research at the Johns Hopkins University in fields that ranged from acoustics to data science and artificial intelligence, Dr. Dunne is an award-winning playwright and author. Through his recently published novel, Nexus, Jeff weaves the concept of syntropy with the implications of the nature of consciousness into a story that speaks to the potentially-existential challenges humanity is facing, sharing a vision for navigating towards a healthier, more balanced future.
