Thursday 11th, 18th and 25th March 2021, 7pm - 8.30pm
Our lives are enhanced - or sometimes shattered - by the people close to us. Emotional intelligence has never been taught at school and so we have no choice but to muddle our way through the relationships that are the most important part of our lives. Whether it be lovers, parents, siblings or friendships , there are always new skills to be learned.
In this three part interactive series, expert psychotherapist Malcolm Stern will explore with you the key skills that can enhance the way you relate to others. Healthy relationships and communications can bring us greater wellbeing, more love and genuine support. Unskillful interactions with others can bring us conflict, frustration and a lack of meaning and purpose.
Some of the essential skills we can always improve include communication; managing conflict; refining authenticity ; learning to lay down our need to be right; knowing when and how to bring our vulnerability into play and accessing the wisdom of our hearts.
This three part masterclass will give you the opportunity to learn and practice these skills so that your relationships can be richer and more fulfilling.
In this session we will name and practice the essential foundation of healthy relationship. Working initially in small groups we will draw on live examples.
We will explore how to find the balance to express who we are without creating rigid defences and how to recognise where self protection is necessary.
Speaking and acting from the true voice of our hearts is a powerful way to live our lives with joy and meaning. We will explore how to access the inherent wisdom within us all.
